Hiking up and down to the Ocean
It was a beautiful spring day, and we had managed to get a big group of the kids together amongst all of the other activities, we wanted to go on a leisurely hike down a trail to the wild ocean. The hike down to sea level was really nice and we got to do some birding and some tracking( of domestic dogs tracks), at one of the view points we were lucky enough to be blessed by a huge pod of dolphins playing in the wake all along the shore. We hiked We strolled along a scenic path beside the cliff., stopping at tide pools to look for any signs of life, and as always there was an abundance of little sea creatures rushing back to the ocean after being spat out by the waves.
The hike up the staircase was challenging for some, but others found it quite manageable! One of the kids even breezed through it, doing lunges up the steps! We all made it up the steps winded and ready for a refreshment and we got to the parking area just as our ride arrived. We treated them all to a nice, ice cold can of soda and made our way back to the safe house.
All and all a 10/10 day. The kids absolutely LOVED it!
